Founded by British couple Tim and Anna Arrowsmith, our winery specializes in small-batch wines crafted from grapes grown in single vineyards. Our winemaker, Ariki Hill, hailing from New Zealand, brings a wealth of experience and passion to our winemaking process. Together, we create wines that not only embody the spirit of the Santa Ynez Valley but also tell a story of dedication and craftsmanship.

About Us
Tim & Anna Arrowsmith
Anna and Tim hail from the United Kingdom, and have lived in California since 2014. They’ve been growing grapes since moving to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2017, and released their first vintage of wine made with estate grown fruit in 2019. In addition to her varied business activities in the world of wine and teaching, Anna holds a PhD in Gender Studies & Masculinity, achieved at the University of Sussex, UK. Tim holds a PhD in the history of British motorcycle subcultures from the London College of Fashion.
Ariki Hill
Ariki “Rick” Hill was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand and studied winemaking at Charles Sturt University in Australia. Following a career running dairy and fruit juice production facilities in the Middle East, Rick moved to California’s Central Coast in 2000. He produced his first commercial vintage sourcing fruit from the famed Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley A.V.A., and was to ultimately marry his mentor, celebrated winemaker Lane Tanner. Rick brings his considerable talents, expertise, and a unique antipodean flair to the making of Arrowsmith wines, and has been the sole winemaker since the label was founded.
